Cat stressed because I went out of town?
I left my two cats alone for four nights when I went out of town, with ample food, water, and clean litter. My cleaning lady came by on Saturday to do her usual cleaning, yet my cats seemed strange when I returned. They ripped out the blinds on one of my window, and one of my cats has been meowing very loudly/whining. (Disclaimer: He is always very loud and whiny, but he's been even louder). Was this a bad idea of me to leave them alone? I'm going out of town again this week for another four nights, but I'm not willing to pay exorbitant $$ to board them. I'd welcome any advice! Thanks!
They are probably used to the fact that you are home everyday. And then when you were out of town for 4 nights, they were maybe wondering what happend. They are used to you, and they probably got worried or scared. It might be safer for them and your furniture if you can find someone to catsit. Maybe this site has some info.
