My cat is getting visits from an outdoor cat?
My cat is an indoor cat and he is always sitting in the windows of our house. Lately, we have noticed a cat in our yard that meows to our cat and even sits outside our house at night and meows at our cat! This outdoor cat has a meowthat sounds like a child's cry and he/she also came up on our deck to say hello! Do you think this outdoor cat is looking to mate? Should I let me cat outside to see this other cat? Maybe they want to be friends.
The outdoor cat could be looking to mate or for some food. I wouldn't let the 2 interact.
