What are the causes of abnormally large cat poop?

My cat in one sitting just took a extreme large diarrhea poo. I'm talking like 2 inches high and like a seven inch radius. There looked like there was blood in it. I cleaned the litter box and saw no worms or anything. Now, I know the obvious answer would be to take the cat to the vet. But we do not have the money for that. I'm just wondering what sort of thing he could have gotten in to or what sort of sickness he may have to cause this.

You're going to have to take the cat to the vet.

It could be megacolon. My cat was recently diagnosed with it and it can be fatal if not treated correctly and soon. Our cat's bowel movements are huge, about 3 times the size of a normal cats'. It can be treated. Has your cat been constipated at all? Keep an eye on how often he has a bm. Cats with megacolon get constipated and that's what can be deadly.

I know it can be expensive but that's part of pet ownership. To be a responsible pet owner you need to be prepared to pay for their medical bills.
