I have long highlighted hair and I want to donate at least 12". Where can I donate it?
I want to donate my long highlighted hair but every organization I've found won't accept highlighted hair. Does anybody know where I can donate it? I really want to help others in this area.
I have blonde hi-lites, or however, you're supposed to spell it 
The reason it's not accepted is because hilited hair will not stand up to what has to be done to it to make it into a wig. Locks Of Love will not take hilited hair - only COLORED. The hair is boiled and handled pretty roughly and hilited hair basically falls apart in the process. If you are committed to helping, keep your hair and find a way to volunteer. Good luck!
