Groomers: Tear Stain Remover?
im a pet groomer at a boarding place, and ive never used any kind of tear stain remover and i dont know of anyone who does, but i always have customers asking if i can remove it....
so my question, is does it work?
why dont many people use it?
and if it works.. what is the bast brand?
im ordering from petedge and wanted to know if i should add it to the list.
Angels Eyes is the only product I have seen work well. It depends on what is causing the problem but it usually works. Ppl simply sprinkle it on the dog food daily. It contains a natural antibiotic to kill red yeast & you see results within a couple of weeks as hair grows backs. I have seen dogs with their whole face stained from their eyes & it grow back totally white & stay that way. You normally treat for about 3mo then taper off. It isn't cheap, the main downfall.
None of the topical eye stain removers have worked for me or other groomers I 've worked with. Here is their link on their question page.

Some ppl had luck using peroxide but I wouldn't suggest that to clients since they tend not to be as careful & over do it.
