How can i get my cat to drink from a bowl?
I have a cat who has been very sick lately. He has been to the vet 3 times this week but is getting better except now he will not drink from a bowl. He only drinks from a syringe. He is on a special food that is like 70% water but I'm still worried about him dehydrating while I'm at work. What can I do to make him drink from a bowl or at least his pet fountain?
I had the SAME problem... And i know it sounds barbaric and mean, but i put him in front of the bowl, gently held his head and guided (dunked) his MOUTH (only his mouth) into the bowl.. he immediately recognized the taste and started drinking... urs might take a while... but he'll catch on... DO NOT DROWN HIM!!! You need to be very careful... Best of luck..
