My cats ance is getting worse!?
I've done everything for my baby's kitty acne; vets for a shot to blance the imblance, changed from plastic dishes to ceramic, and have been cleaning it every night....I dont know what more to do. And its just getting wore. Now he has a bump under his chin and its really painful for him. He barely will let me wash it now b/c its so painful. I'm gonna take him back to the vets but does anyone have any sugession in the mean time?

I am currently treating my cat for acne, and it's getting better, so I'll tell you what the vet has given me:
1. She gets oral antibiotics, for 2 weeks (Synulox)
2. I clean it every day with Douxo vet shampoo, also known as Hibiclens(chlorexidine is the substance in it)
3. I put a cream on it, called Brevoxyl, morning and evening, the substance is called Benzoyl Peroxide. It is a human med for acne. I know vets usually prescribe only vet meds, but my vet often gives me human meds and they work well. But I only use these when she has prescribed them, not out of my head.
I hope your kitty gets better.
If he is in pain and swollen, it is probably infected, so he may need antibiotics, even some local antibiotic ointment, like Fucidin, or even the vet may need to draw some pus from it, I don't know, just saying, so go to the vet again.
