my dog got scratched by a stray cat help what do i do?
my dog is a maltese..
anywho theres a stary cat in my backyard with 5 lil kittens..my dog went to where the cats are and she got scratched on her face by her mouth and on her neck..she is okay but should i put some type of ointment..she was bleeding a bit..my mom told me to put anitbacterial..but isnt that for humans only..idk..help the cut is very tiny its like i papercut..and the one on her neck is like if i got poked by a rose thorn..
oh yea idk if the cat is a stray cuz she does have a flea colar on her neck.but u can tell that its very old..oh yea im planning on callling the animal shelter to pick up the cats..

wash it with warm boiled water (wash your hands first) its fine to use antibacterial spray or ointment.
is your dog up to date with her jabs? if not take your dog to the vets
if she has had her jabs she should be fine, just keep an eye on it for infection.
the cat may not be a stray as they like to go and hide when having kittens, yest call the shelter to pick her up, if she is chipped she will be reunited with her owners, if not she will be placed into a foster home and her kittens will be safer than outside.
