Treated urine spots with natures miracle a few months back but now want to shampoo?
I have spots on my carpets from urine that are months old. THey were treated when they happened with Natures miracle. but now I have dirty spots and I need to shampoo the carpets. My question is I know wetting a urine spot will intesify the smell or bring it out but since I treated them will wetting them make them smell (there is no smell now and they do not show with a black light) or should it be ok?

Boy can I relate to this. When we built our home three years ago we put in vinyl floors because the carpet at the old house always smelled like pee. I tried everything to get it out, but nothing worked. I did accidently find a solution for it. The rental house we have had a leak and it got all over the carpet. It had a very bad odor like mold. I had to call a company to come and get the water out. When he finished the job and came to me for payment, he made mention of the pet stain in the carpet. He told me that the only way to get out pet stain is a dry cleaning method they have now. He said the worst thing you can do is to steam clean it as all that does is spread the urine deeper in the carpet and makes it smell worse. It does not get rid of the smell and the stains will eventually come right back to the to top. This new method of dry cleaning would cost around $400 for my house. It is about 2200 square feet. The company is called Chem Dry. If you have one in your area, you may want to give them a call. If not, I would try some other carpet cleaning services that use this system. Good luck
