gestational diabetes, is it okay to eat Tuna?
I have gestational diabetes and am trying to assess if it's okay for me to eat a small tin of flavoured tuna each day with my salad?
the amount i eat has:
530kj energy
17.5g protein
6.2g fat (1.1g of which is saturated)
0.1g carbohydrate
315mg sodium
i'd be eating it with a plate filled with salad (lettuce cabbage carrot corn low fat cheese alfalfa)
do you know if there is a limit on how much fish you should include in diet?
do you know if tuna is a food containing omega 3?
Tuna is okay to eat as part of a diabetic diet. Canned tuna usually has a very high amount of sodium I would be more concerned with that. I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy and ate tuna in moderation. Fish in general is good for you and I don't think there is a limit you can eat.
