I want to get a self cleaning litter box but will cat approve?

I was thinking about buying the Omega paw self cleaning litter box for xmas. I wanted to try something new because I sometimes forget to clean the litter box. I'm just so busy with my three kids. My cats litter box is old she had it since she was kitten. If I was to give her a new one how would she react? I know when I changed her sand litter to clay. She was upset but got used to it.

While some folks highly recommend self-cleaning boxes, in my opinion it is crucial to really know the cat's output. With self-cleaning boxes it is impossible to assess how much a cat is eliminating, therefore preventing the awareness of any possible problems that a cat is having. We scoop our boxes several times a day, even though we too are busy people. This way we know just what they are doing, and if there is any type of problem.

Being able to catch any constipation problems, any blood in the litter box, are all essential clues to care for a cat's health.

Sometimes we go too far for our own convenience and as a result we miss many important health issues that may be developing before they reach a serious level.

Put a little sign to remind you to scoop your box at least twice a day, which may help you. Your cat will appreciate a clean "toilet" just like we humans do.
