we found a kitten outside of my house?
My husband found a kitten last night, But she doesnt have colar or nothing. She ran to my husband. I dont know if she is clean. I want to keep her but we have little twins at home; and the kitten has claws. I want to keep her because my twins loved her. I dont know if she is sterlie/has immulization. I dont mind if i give her away to a wounderful home. But if i keep her what should i do, so she wouldnt hurt my children. thanks
If you keep her PLEASE don't declaw her as suggested above. It cripples cats both physically and mentally for life,it's banned in most countries for good reason.All our children grow up with cats with claws and learn that is how they are born and that they need their claws to live a cats life.
First ask around to make sure she isn't someone's pet got out by mistake, if she isn't and you decide to keep her, take her to the vets for a check up and advice on defleaing and deworming,vaccinations, neutering etc.
She won't hurt your children, it's more likely they'll innocently hurt her, as kittens are very fragile, so teach your twins to handle her gently, it's really good for children to grow up with pets, but they must learn they are not toys.
