Is cat shampoo dangerous to the cat if consumed?
I was bathing my cat earlier (she had matted fur and was DIRTY!) Anyway, I tried to rinse all of her shampoo off, but missed a bit. She was licking herself and I got a little freaked. I used to animal shampoo conditioners: John Paul Super Bright Shampoo and Top Performance Baby Powder Shampoo for Cats and Dogs.
Can she die if she consumes the bit left on her fur?
First I would not use something for both dogs and cats. Check the shampoo and see if it contains pytholins (?), or tea tree oils. Tea tree oil is toxic to cats.
BTW I do hope you got those mats out BEFORE you wet and washed the cat cause they will be very difficult to get out now.
