Cat won't stop licking after taking pill?
We've been giving our cat a pill for her thyroid for about the last month, and today after taking it (we use pill pockets) she starting licking and meowing weird if you touched her.
She's been licking the air (and herself) non-stop for about 15 minutes, and while it has slowed down, it's still happening.
Any idea if this is normal?
Sounds like maybe it came out of the pocket and she tasted how nasty it is. Make sure that is the only weird thing she does - otherwise call the vet.
Another option to "pilling" her is to use a "trans dermal" medication. It is rubbed on the inner part of her ear. Just a thought.
