What can i use for my cat besides catnip?
Catnip seems to get my cat aggressive and or very hyper, is there anything else I could put on her toys that he will be attracted to his toys. He moves the catnip but makes him flip out, any other ideas? Something home made?
Mint is a close relative of the catnip plant family and there is many toys available for cats that have mint in them. You can also fill a sock with dried mint leaves, tie it in the end and throw it at him, he will enjoy that too. Regular catnip bought in containers can be used to fill the sock when you do not want to use mint. Some cats like the smell of icebreakers or winterfresh gum, stick some of that into a small pouch of cloth or a baby sock and see what he does. To tire him out, tie a bow or thick feather onto a long string and move that around, it's effective and easy to make. Good luck with these alternatives!
