Why does my cat scoff at all but one kind of rattle mice?
My honey colored tabby cat is 2 years old. The set of colored rattle mice we got 1st are the only ones he will play with! There were 2 left a month ago, but they have disappeared. I found some rattle mice but they were gray, white, and black. He will run after them when I throw them but when he sees it's not the red or green, he just stares at me. I found some that had feather tails and he loves his feather toys. Still nothing. I even tried keeping them in a bag of cat nip. Still nothing! Is it really the color he likes? I love to play fetch with him and my little niece just falls over laughing when she sees him. I need to tire him out a couple times a day so he doesn't play and bite our older cat's ears. Any tips or hints? I have searched every store in our area and online for these mice and cannot find any more of the colored ones. They are just the cheap little furry cardboard mice that rattle.
It's really just a cat "thing". My cat Tommy will only play with one toy and prefers the purple ones! So I do my best to buy the right color. He likes blue also, but purple is his favorite.
