I might Be pregnant, Can I Move Heavy Stuff?

Im trying to Move some Rather Large totes Around In My room and There is A Chance i am About 7-8 Weeks Pregnant. (Dr appointment In a Week! ) My Hubby isnt Available today to Help me and Its Got to be Done.
So, IS it Safe to Move stuff In case i am Pregnant? I do Lift My 40lb Son on a Daily Basis. I know The basics like lift From Your legs and Such, But Is it OK to do so In early Pregnancy?

you should not lift over 20 lbs when pregnant. it can tear the placenta away early in pregnancy, and can wrap the cord around the baby's neck later in pregnancy. I would wait for help. as to lifting your son, ask him to get up on a chair when you lift him so you are only supporting him for a short distance instead of dead lifting him from the floor.
