Is there any way to send food and supplies to Haiti?
I want to start a collection bin at school for haitian relief. I think it would be most successful to accept both food/supplies as well as money donations. However, I am having difficulty finding organizations that are accepting food/supply donations. Please help me by providing the link to a website with information on how to donate food/supplies.
The best thing to do to raise money is hold a tag sale and/or bake sale. Sending goods is very expensive and slow; food will rot and clothes may be not the kind they need, as well as needing to be sorted, washed and stored.
