I just got a new cat and I think I got mice, will the cat keep the mice away?
We have a field at the back of us and whenever its ploughed we use to have an influx of mice then we got a cat no more mice al-thou saying that i did have one a few weeks ago but that was one my cat brought in for me then let it go it was soon caught by my kitten i think my older cat did this to teach my kitten the meaning of a cat life. so in answer to your question is yes a cat would help by catching and killing them then the smell will keep them away keep an eye on your cat watch where he spents a lot of time smelling that is where your mice will be usually behind the cooker or freezer where its warm they can also get inside the oven so be careful when you open the oven door
