Has anyone else had a problem with Hartz flea medicine with their cat?
I recently used this flea treatment on my 9 year old cat and it almost killed him and now he is back at the vets with a liver problem from the poisoning. I just wanted to see if there were any other pet owners out there that also had this problem.
Yes - LOTS of people have had problems with Hartz products and LOTS of pets have DIED. Before you end up killing your pets why not research products on the internet before you put them on your pet? Or better yet - only buy Advantage or Frontline or something your VET prescribes.
Over 20 years ago - way before the internet - I used Hartz Blockade on a cat and he started siezuring. I immediately ran him to the vet and thankfully, he survived. Not long after Blockade was taken off the market. Sadly, though, over 300 animals died before from using this product. I've never used ANYTHING by Hartz since - I don't even trust their toys.
Hartz has been killing beloved pets for years and years. I have no idea why the company still is allowed to exist.
