Experiences with Bio Spot Flea & Tick Med - Is it safe?
I have been giving my 30lb mutt Sergeant's Pretect Squeeze-On topical flea & tick medicine (45% Permethrin, 5% Nylar) for 3 yrs. When I got the dog from his previous owner, she gave me some Kiltix from the vet (45% Permethrin), so I bought the Sergeant's because it had the same stuff in it. He never had any adverse reactions to any of it. Now the Walmart in town quit selling Sergeant's, and I can't find it anywhere, not even on the web. Bio Spot has the exact same active ingredients and the same percentages of those ingredients. I've read a lot of horror stories about Bio Spot giving animals seizures or dying (usually minutes or hours after giving the dose). Would I be putting my dog in danger trying the Bio Spot? Any expertise or testimonials will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
My experience with bio spot was it worked okay on my dogs, but not great results with my cats. REVOLUTION flea, tick, mosquito topical one month tube. dogs can be bathed or go in rain 2 hours after application. find at pet shelters or vets. also used for prevention of heartworms in dogs. I have had great results with skin problems on my dogs(allergies, flea dermatitis,etc.) and also the cat REVOLUTION. I haven't used bio spot in awhile.
